The abdominoplasty surgical procedure has been claimed the standout treatment of 2015 in the UK, based on new research by the healthcare website, WhatClinic.com. The data is collected through actual consumer inquiries from December 2014 to December 2015 for cosmetic procedures, and the results were staggering.
WhatClinic.com is a site that provides comparison and reviews of clinics around the world with price inquiries and appointment scheduling. The site has more than 120,000 private healthcare clinics in 135 countries worldwide.
The healthcare site reports a 351 percent increase in tummy tuck inquiries in 2015, despite a relatively high procedure cost. Although the abdominoplasty saw a surge in popularity, breast augmentation with implants remained the most popular procedure last year with inquiries increasing 183 percent.
Consequently, the second most popular procedure, liposuction, increased in inquiries by 167 percent. In most cases, surgeons are finding that cosmetic surgery continues to thrive with a massive increase in 2015. More and more people worldwide have been more aware of their signs of aging and cosmetic imperfections, they desire to receive an enhanced appearance to look as great as they feel.
Even non-surgical treatments saw a 470 percent increase in inquiries. So whatever cosmetic enhancements patients’ desire, we have been experiencing a significant increase in interest, leading to the medical aesthetic industry’s success.
