Are you looking to achieve a slimmer body contour? When diet and exercise are not enough, BodyTite can help. Read on to learn more about this breakthrough solution to removing stubborn fat without leaving behind sagging skin.

What is BodyTite?

BodyTite is a minimally-invasive body contouring procedure that is powered by RFAL (Radio-Frequency Assisted Lipolysis) to shape, tighten, and lift without needles, incisions, or scarring. Using this technology, BodyTite can deliver results that, in the past, could only be achieved through more extensive surgical procedures. When radiofrequency energy is administered to the skin, it generates heat to reduce fat and tighten the skin through increasing collagen production. BodyTite uses controlled heating to ensure the best, most consistent results with optimal safety.

What happens during treatment?

BodyTite can be performed at our Brandon office with local anesthesia. During treatment, a special tool will be applied to the treatment areas, generating RFAL. This requires a handpiece that uses both an external applicator and an internal probe that works underneath the skin using a small incision. This means that both the topical skin is tightened, and the underlying fat is reduced. BodyTite ensure that precise heat is generated that will not damage the tissues or cause pain during the radiofrequency technique. This treatment can be used to treat the stomach, arms, chest, knees, and inner and outer thighs. Plus, multiple areas can be treated in one visit, each taking about 15 minutes to complete.

Results and Recovery

BodyTite results can be seen immediately, and will continue to improve over the course of 3-6 months because of your body’s natural means of collagen production. While there is some downtime involved, patients are usually back to their normal activities after about one week, although your recovery period can depend on the size of your treatment areas. After treatment, you can enjoy a slimmer, tighter figure for a more sculpted shape. Remember to make healthy lifestyle choices to help maintain your results long-term!

Am I a candidate for BodyTite?

While it tightens and tones the body, BodyTite is not considered a weight-loss procedure. Candidates should be in overall good health and at a stable weight, no more than ten to fifteen pounds above their ideal, healthy weight. If you have recently lost a significant amount of weight and have severe loose skin, surgical removal may be a better option for you. However, BodyTite is a great, minimally invasive option for many candidates. Consult with Dr. Shienbaum to find out which body contouring procedure is best suited to your goals.

BodyTite FAQS

What areas can be treated with Bodytite?

BodyTite can be used to reduce fat and tighten the skin nearly anywhere in the body. That includes the abdomen, back, arms, flanks (love handles), thighs, or chest.

Is there any downtime associated with BodyTite?

There is a recovery period after receiving BodyTite, but it is much shorter than a surgical procedure. Most patients can return to work and non-strenuous activity after about two to three days of rest.

How much does BodyTite cost?

The cost of a BodyTite procedure varies depending on the area(s) you are treating and the number of sessions you require. Typically, the final cost of the procedure falls in the range of $4,000 to $10,000.

Does BodyTite hurt?

The BodyTite procedure shouldn't be painful. During the recovery period, most patients experience soreness, similar to what you might feel after a difficult workout.

When can I swim after BodyTite?

After undergoing BodyTite treatment, it's generally recommended to wait until your incision sites are fully healed and any swelling or tenderness has subsided before swimming or engaging in water-related activities. The healing timeline can vary depending on individual factors such as the extent of treatment, your body's healing ability, and the specific areas treated. Typically, you may experience swelling, bruising, and mild discomfort immediately after BodyTite, which can gradually improve over the following weeks.

Am I the Right Candidate for a BodyTite Procedure?

If you have a healthy lifestyle, you are already within your ideal weight, and your skin has elasticity, you may be a candidate. Patients who opt for BodyTite are the ones who cannot lose those stubborn fat pockets or tighten that loose skin. For these patients, BodyTite will deliver superior fat cell removal and skin tightening results.

Does BodyTite help you lose weight?

This procedure should not be mistaken for a weight loss procedure since BodyTite cannot replace exercise and an adequate diet.

Where can I get BodyTite?

BodyTite surgery can treat various areas such as the face, chin, neck, abdomen, breasts, chest, saddle bags, upper arms, buttocks, back, ankle, love handles, hips, inner and outer thighs and knees.

Can multiple areas be treated in one visit and how much time will it take?

Multiple areas can be treated in one visit and each zone will take approximately 15 minutes to treat.

What are the potential side effects of BodyTite?

Possible side effects following BodyTite include altered sensations, numbness, swelling, tenderness, bruising, and site infection.

Who is a Good Candidate for the BodyTite Arm Lift?

The BodyTite arm lift is a suitable option for patients with loose, crepe-like skin in the lower inner arm area near the arm pit and not much extra fatty tissue. They should have good skin elasticity and a stable weight. It’s important to follow your surgeon’s instructions on exercise and other matters to obtain optimal results. Importantly, a healthy lifestyle is necessary to maintain the outcomes.

Is BodyTite safe?

BodyTite technology has an excellent safety profile. The device monitors 3 separate variables in real-time: internal temperature, external temperature, and impedance. This built-in system of protection automatically shuts down the energy if any of these variables reach an excessive level, reducing the risk of any thermal or heat injuries.

How long will recovery take and when will final results be visible?

Results are patient-specific and depend on the treatment area and the amount of fat removed. Larger areas will require a longer recovery time. Initial results can be seen immediately after the procedure, with the best results noticeable after 6-12 weeks. Most patients achieve full recovery in a couple of days.

How long does the treatment take? How many treatments are required?

For most patients, one treatment per body area is all that is normally required. The procedure itself takes approximately 30 – 45 minutes, but this depends on the treatment area and the degree of complexity.
