In the cosmetics industry, noninvasive and minimally invasive procedures are becoming some of the most sought-after methods of improving the appearance. Many people turn to non-surgical means of facial rejuvenation like Botox, dermal fillers, and laser treatments. Now, one of the biggest alternatives to a surgical facelift is the minimally invasive thread lift. At Brandon Plastic Surgery in Tampa, FL, our team offers the thread lift to those wanting a non-surgical form of facial rejuvenation.

Threads

There are various types of threads that can be used in your Tampa Thread Lift. Dr. Sheinbaum and the team at Brandon Plastic Surgery offer these different threads:

  • PDO: The PDO thread lift uses threads made of Polydioxanone. These threads help with instant skin lifting, cellular renewal, and skin tightening. With collagen stimulation and neovascularization, you can get smooth, even-toned skin with this thread lift.
  • NOVA: NovaThreads are needles that come pre-loaded with a PDO thread. The needle is inserted into the tissue at a subdermal level, parallel to the surface of the skin, and then pulled out. This allows the PDO thread to remain under the skin.
  • Quill: The Quill thread lift uses barbed configurations for the thread lift.
  • Aptos: Aptos threads help to lift the sagging skin and achieve youthfulness. Aptos has many different types of threads. The Aptos uses barbed threads that can be absorbable or nonabsorbable in many different parts of the body.
  • Contour: The contour thread lifts use strands of Prolene monofilament threads that are placed into the subcutaneous plane under the facial skin.
  • Barbed: This type of thread lift uses uni-directional or bi-directional threads in a minimally invasive way to lift the sagging skin on the face.

Different Lifts

Thread lifts are a highly customizable procedure. There are various types of thread lifts that use different techniques and threads to accomplish the rejuvenated appearance. The different types of thread lifts are:

  • Suture Suspension Facelift: This uses small incisions with long internal sutures to help contour the face. It lifts the deep subcutaneous tissue by anchoring it to non-movable tissue.
  • Thread Lift: The traditional thread lift, also called a lunchtime lift, uses temporary sutures to lift up the sagging skin instead of removing the loose skin surgically. It also helps with collagen production in the treated areas for a lasting anti-aging effect.
  • Feather Lift: The feather lift uses APTOS threads that lift and contour the face.
  • Silhouette Insta Lift: The threads for the insta lift will be inserted into the subcutaneous tissue. It uses bi-directional cones for the sutures. The physician will reposition the skin and then cut the sutures off. This treatment takes about 45 minutes.

FaceTite & Suture Suspension

Dr. Sheinbaum is a highly experienced, board-certified plastic surgeon who through years of experience have created his preferred method of minimally invasive facial rejuvenation. He uses the FaceTite technique in combination with suture suspension. The FaceTite treatment uses targeted radiofrequency energy to help tighten the skin. This energy in combination with suture suspension created a youthful appearance with tight, smooth skin without the use of surgery.
