The Benefits of Chemical Peels

Smooth, radiant skin is desired among many, though creams and serums don’t always do the trick. If you are unhappy with acne scars, uneven skin texture, sun damage, wrinkles, and age spots, a chemical peel in Brandon can address the issues, as well as restore a youthful, vibrant appearance.

What is a Chemical Peel?

A chemical peel is a skin rejuvenation treatment that removes the uppermost layers of dead and damaged skin. This reveals a new, healthy layer of skin as well as triggers collagen production for continued skin improvement.

There are different levels of peels available, including light, medium, and deep. At our Brandon office, we offer glycolic acid peels, TCA peels, and PHENOL peels.

Glycolic Acid Peels– These are mild peels which take about 10-15 minutes to complete. Most patients can see results after a series of treatments spaced a few weeks apart.

TCA Peels– These are medium peels which take about 20 minutes to complete. These peels are ideal for correcting pigment problems and superficial wrinkles.

PHENOL Peels– These peels are deeper than the others, and require the most downtime. However, they can treat advanced sun damage, discoloration, uneven skin texture, and more.

Benefits

Chemical peels are great options for rejuvenating the complexion. Once the topmost layer of dead skin cells is removed, living cells below being to multiply and move towards the surface. Collagen production is increased, more hyaluronic acid is made, and the skin begins to look smoother and more radiant. Who doesn’t want to remove signs of aging for a more youthful glow?
