Rafael De Ayala specializes in plastic, reconstructive, and cosmetic surgery of the face, breast, and body. With over a decade of rigorous training and experience, Dr. De Ayala combines advanced surgical techniques with an artistic approach to create natural, beautiful results for his patients.
Ayala completed his Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at Stony Brook University / New York Plastic Surgical Group, followed by a Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship at Hass Plastic Surgery in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. He also completed a Burn Surgery Fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, and his General Surgery Residency at the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus.
Throughout his career, Dr. De Ayala has been recognized for his dedication to patient care and education, earning awards such as the Plastic and Reconstructive Resident of the Month and Best Resident Teacher Award, and contributing to numerous research publications and presentations in national forums. His academic and clinical work reflects his ongoing commitment to excellence and innovation in plastic surgery.

Outside of the operating room, Dr. De Ayala enjoys a vibrant and active lifestyle. He spends time with his family and pets, stays active through judo, gym workouts, and outdoor activities like hiking and the beach.
