Having children is wonderful; however, motherhood may lead to significant changes in the body of a woman. Even if mothers consider such changes to be an honor, some women will not be happy with how their post pregnancy body looks such as stretch marks, abdominal skin, sagging breasts, thicker waist and stretch marks. Some women who have one or more children may wish to get back the body they had before pregnancy, which is why they will undergo a variety of plastic surgeries during a mommy makeover procedure. The following are common procedures that may be found in the mommy makeover procedure.
When a woman gets pregnant, the abdominal muscles and skin stretch so that it may accommodate the developing fetus. Stretch marks, weak stomach muscles with loose skin, will result from this expansion. Some women can get back their pre-baby bodies naturally while others may have more trouble. Abdominoplasty, also called a tummy tuck, will remove the extra fat and skin while it tightens and restores the abdominal muscles. It removes the belly button and the navel and repositions it back to the normal position.
Breast lift or breast augmentation
Pregnancy will also affect the breasts. During pregnancy, the breasts are enlarged and when the pregnancy is over, they may deflate and no longer look perky. When lactation and pregnancy has ended, the breasts will lose their volume and they will start to sag. Women may suffer from stretched areolas with uneven breasts which have become even larger. As a part of the complete mommy makeover, the breast lift and breast enhancement can be done so that the woman can get back a youthful shape for the breasts. The two procedures can be done at once, to remove the excess skin and to reposition the areola while augmenting the volume of the breasts using breast augmentation.
Post pregnancy body will lead to a thicker waist with stubborn fat deposits on the thighs and hips. Liposuction will remove this fat and it will improve the body contours. Liposuction can be done on the neck, knees and upper arms as well. It is used like a contouring method and it should not be used as a weight loss method.
